Grain theft occurs most commonly from storage silos, during harvest with trucks full of grain or when there is no weighbridge when delivering grain, or having it unloaded.
Help prevent grain theft by:
- securing silos;
- ensuring silos are visible, not hidden from sight;
- ensuring silos are well lit at night; and
- locking other equipment used to load and unload grain.
